We will use a clip chart to reward good behaviour.  Each student begins the day in the middle of the chart on Ready to Learn. Throughout the day, students will have the opportunity to clip up by making good choices. Students who do not make good choices will be asked to clip down.

The bottom choice on the chart is Parent Contact. If a child ends the day on this section of the chart, parents will be contacted by note or telephone.

Likewise, if a student makes it all the way to the top of the chart to Outstanding, parents will also be contacted (and the student will choose a jewel to adorn his or her clip).

Students may redeem themselves by showing appropriate behaviour.  If this occurs, they are allowed to move back up the chart. Each child will be encouraged to do his or her very best.  Everyone makes mistakes. It's what we do after we have made those mistakes that matters the most!

Students who have had good behaviour all week will be entered into a draw to win recess in the classroom.

Clips with five jewels will be retired to the Clip Hall of Fame.
